Feminist Film Club: Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs

Join us for Perth Women's Collective's first Feminist Film Club event! We will be screening Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs followed by an informal group discussion. The film will be available for screening online from 3-7 Septebmer; participants will watch the film in their own time and then join us on Zoom for a discussion around the film and its themes on 7 September at 8pm.

Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs is the extraordinary story of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition (NIWC), a cross-community party formed in 1996 by local working and middle class women.  Frustrated with the stalemate of local politics, the women ran a door-to-door campaign to win two seats at the historic peace talks, which culminated in the Good Friday Agreement.

Timely and inspiring, Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs is a compelling example of how grassroots activism can bring about real change.
