Gender x Climate

Join us this month for a hands-on workshop exploring themes of gender equality and climate change with Scrapantics, a creative recycling social justice enterprise based in Dundee. 

During this workshop, we will reinvigorate second-hand textile items of practical use, such as tote bags and T-shirts, decorated with various easy printing methods that communicate individualised messages of solidarity, relating to issues of climate change and gender equality.

This event will include a swish! Also known as a clothes swap, the rules of the swish are:

• Please bring a maximum of 3 items to the swap: clothes, shoes or accessories.
• Please make sure the clothes are in the condition you would want to purchase them (clean, dry and in good condition only please).
• Nothing with stains, holes or damage and no underwear or swimwear.
• The more good quality items you can bring in the more successful the event will be!
• Find something to take away, but please don't take more than you bring.
• Any items left at the end will be donated for reuse.

This event is for all genders. We strive to make our events as accessible as possible; if you have any accessibility concerns please do get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

The event will take place in the Creative Exchange in Perth. Please come in the main entrance and someone will meet you there to take you down to the workshop space. Please arrive promptly as the door will be locked once the event has started.
